Laying hedges

We have limited experience of hedge laying, but have found it particularly good at thickening up hedges about eight years after planting.

We are also starting to lay older hedges where we want to make them stock-proof. In our mainly arable landscape it is a long while since our hedges have been laid. We’ll probably know in about 10-15 years which of the various methods we’ve used works best.
