The business

Abbey Farm is a tenant farm, meaning it is rented from a landowner. It provides three full-time jobs, one part-time and some seasonal or contract work.

Abbey Farm covers 375ha. It is mainly arable (see Crops) with some grasslands grazed by cattle or sheep. 15% of the farm is certified organic with the Soil Association. A further 15% (mostly the grassland) has very low inputs of fertiliser and pesticides.

We are in the agri-environment scheme Environmental Stewardship, both Higher and Organic Entry Levels.
