Farm & Wildlife Day

Abbey Farm, Flitcham, PE31 6BT
Circular walks on the farm from 7am—6pm taking you to hill-top views, organic and conventional crops, farm animals and flower-rich meadows. Do these at your own pace and choose how far you go. Sorry, no dogs, but do bring a picnic. Light refreshments from 10am—5pm (in aid of Little Discoverers, a local group sup-porting children with motor learning difficulties and delayed devel-opment). There will be moth identification and sale of organic pro-duce by From the Earth who grow on Abbey Farm.
There are also guided walks:
Farmland birds — 7.30—9.30am
Chalk, springs and the source of the River Babingley (led by Dr Tim Grapes) — 10am—midday
Flower pick picnic—bring a picnic and take away a handful of wild flowers— 12.15-2pm
Flies (led by Dr Tony Irwin, Senior Curator of Natural History,
Norwich Museum) – 2.30-5pm
